Start Early...or Melt Trying
Beat the sun by starting your move in the early morning. The cooler temps between 8–10 AM can make a big difference in how you feel by midday.
Hydration is Non Negotiable
Pack a cooler with bottled water, electrolyte drinks, and even some frozen fruit. Staying hydrated prevents heat exhaustion and keeps your energy up.
Dress Smart (and Light)
Skip the jeans and hoodies. Wear light, breathable fabrics and sneakers with good grip. Bonus tip: dark colors absorb more heat go light and bright.
Know the Heat Hazards
Take care with items like candles, electronics, plants, and anything that can melt or warp. Transport those in an air-conditioned car, not the moving truck.
Plan for Breaks and Shade
Have a shaded rest area or indoor spot ready. Build short breaks into your move so nobody overheats, this goes for pets and kids, too.
Pack an “Essentials” Cooling Kit
Include cold towels, sunscreen, a handheld fan, and a change of clothes. You’ll thank yourself when that first box is labeled “refreshments.”
Call in the Pros
Don’t want to lift a finger (or a couch) in 95-degree heat? That’s what we’re here for. Our team moves efficiently and safely, even when the heat is on.
Pro Tip: Avoid the Afternoon Rush
Afternoon in Omaha? You’re looking at heat plus traffic. Finishing your move before lunch not only keeps you cool but keeps things moving smoothly.
Moving in August? Let’s Make It Chill.
